Guide Wheel Assemblies provide greater positioning control when
moving long distances and prevent potential side drift on sloped
floors. Guide Wheel Assemblies can be actuated with a regulator
& ball valve or the control can be added to the drive panel
of our power drive unit for easy adjustments and operation. |
Capabilities:
- Improves operator control when moving long distances.
- Reduces side drift on uneven floor surfaces.
- Allows controlled 90° cornering.
- Will allow the operator to spin the load in its own radius.
- Can be retracted for side shifting, crabbing or precise
positioning requirements.

This photo shows a 48” load module cribbed up to the bottom
of a 100-ton ship hull. The Guide Wheel Assembly was used to
aid in keeping the vessel tracking strait on the 200’ polystyrene
overly matting which was necessary because the concrete surface
had become cracked and very porous over the previous 30 years
of ship building.

Note:
Guide wheel Assemblies can be built into the air plank and air
pallet aluminum extrusion, placed under a load like a rigid
caster or bolted to the side of a metal frame if lowered or
overall height becomes an issue.
